[The day after returning from the Isle trip started out like most days recently, other than being a good deal less tense. Costume ball preparations were well underway, and after breakfast, Gabriel excused himself to do some work at Mouse Made Gear, taking a few pastries- a few savory and one sweet- with him for a light lunch as he often did.

It wasn't until mid-afternoon that something unusual happened, namely a message notification coming in from an unknown Auradon number. Those who saw the message would find themselves greeted by a man wearing a purple, butterfly-themed suit with matching mask, smiling politely at them. The camera had been positioned so that the only background was the afternoon sky, making it very difficult to tell where the sender was other than outside somewhere in Auradon.]

Greetings, residents of Auradon and the Isle of the Lost. I arrived here yesterday while it seems a significant portion of Auradon's current population was elsewhere and took the opportunity to familiarize myself with the area. Now, however, I felt that I should properly introduce myself.

I am Betterfly. If you're familiar with the concept of superheroes, then I expect you already have some suspicions regarding what I am, but for those who may not be, I shall summarize. I wield a magical artifact known as a Miraculous, specifically the Miraculous of the butterfly. Together with my kwami partner, Nooroo, it enables me to transform from my civilian identity- which I'm afraid I must keep secret for everyone's safety- into the form you see before you.

This form not only serves as a disguise, but also grants me certain powers. Like all Miraculous, this one endows its wielder with exceptional strength, agility, and general athleticism, as well as providing a great deal of protection from physical harm. But each Miraculous also possesses a unique ability. Mine allows me to create a magically endowed butterfly known as a kamiko, and through the kamiko temporarily grant superpowers to another individual.

I understand that you may have questions and concerns, and I will do my best to answer them. But rest assured, I will use these powers only for the greater good and see to it that any I grant powers to do the same. Thank you all for your time and attention.
